The Birmingham Business Journal recently published an article about Janet Holcomb, owner of The Fitting Touch in Birmingham. With over 20 years of retail experience, Holcomb serves a specialty market for women who have had liposuction or breast augmentation.
The San Jose Business Journal, the Birmingham Business Journal, and bizjournals.com have all featured The Fitting Touch in recent publications. Many post-operative liposuction, tummy tuck, and breast surgery patients have a special need for undergarments that support parts of the body that need a little extra help after surgery. Janet Holcomb's specialty boutique, The Fitting Touch, carries all the usual sizes but also stocks the harder to find sizes for trickier fittings. Plastic surgeons in Birmingham refer patients to Ms. Holcomb on a weekly basis. Last May, Oprah covered the topic of specialty fittings and listed the shop at the end of the program, along with a shop called Intimacy, which has locations in both New York and Atlanta.
